Nigerian Presidential Position Salary… The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has his salary reduced from when he became the president; his reason was that the government expenses have to be reduced. The salary of the Vice President, Osibanjo was also reduced by 50%.
After the reduction, the president’s salary became N14, 000,000. His basic salary is N3, 514,705 and this was made known to the public by the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
He is also entitled to allowances which make up the N14, 000,000; the consistency allowance, this makes 250% of his yearly salary and amounts to N8, 786,762.50; the hardship allowance which makes 50% of his basic salary and amounts to N1, 757,350.50.
The government provides some things for the President, free of charge and they are: domestic staff, entertainment, newspapers, periodicals, personal assistant, security, special assistant, utilities, vehicle fueling and maintenance.
There are also some allowances given to the President periodically, they include medical allowance, estacode allowance, duty tour allowance, furniture allowance and accommodation.
